The Future of Behavioral Health Software
Behavioral health software has been a necessary evil for too long. We're building the platform that changes that, where AI and great design turn documentation into a genuine partner in care.
Built from the ground up for behavioral health
Ritten was founded in Philadelphia in 2020 by Noah Whitehead and Gabe Szczepanek, with Noah coming from behavioral health operations and Gabe from modernizing legacy systems at Deloitte and Blend. They spent two and a half years building a unified EMR for scheduling, charting, and billing. When AI emerged, Ritten was ready, purpose-built around narrative data to transform the EMR from a compliance tool into an essential part of clinical practice.

Improve Text Fits Right Into Your Workflow
From the note screen, simply enter your shorthand or raw text. Improve Text instantly reformats it into clear, structured sentences that you can review side-by-side with the original.
- Works on free-form input: notes, client summaries, or descriptions
- Preserves the original intent—no assumptions, no bias
- Output appears alongside original text for quick review and approval
- Add to your chart with one click
No extra tools. No disruption. Just cleaner documentation, instantly.

Compliance-Safe, Clinician-Controlled, and Purpose-Built
- HIPAA-compliant: All processing is handled securely, like every other Ritten feature
- Clinical boundaries respected: No diagnoses added, no tone softening, no conclusions beyond what you enter
- Provider oversight: Final text is always reviewed by a qualified clinician before saving
- Seamless integration: Works directly in your existing forms and notes
Meet the Co-Founders

Turning a necessary evil into a partner in care
EMRs are often called a necessary evil. Practitioners roll their eyes. We're building toward a future where clinicians wouldn't want to practice without their platform because it genuinely makes them better at delivering care.
Team members and growing
Years building in behavioral health
Focused on behavioral health
A proud veteran presence
Noah Whitehead is a former Army Ranger, and that's shaped Ritten's culture in real ways. We have a strong veteran presence on the team and actively welcome those who've served. The qualities that make great soldiers, decisiveness under pressure and accountability make great teammates here too.
Join the team that's changing behavioral health
We've grown from 4 to 60 people, and we're just getting started. If you care about impact, love shipping software that reaches real users, and want to do meaningful work, we'd love to meet you.
Why you should join us
Ship fast, ship real
We're maniacal about getting software into users' hands. You could have an idea, build it, and get real feedback from real clinicians in days, not months.
Work that matters
Behavioral health touches every family. The software we build helps clinicians spend more time on care and less time fighting their tools. That's a mission worth showing up for.
World-class team
We've attracted top engineering and clinical talent who take their craft seriously but don't take themselves too seriously. Passion and professionalism go hand in hand here.
AI at the frontier
We were positioned perfectly when AI arrived: strong foundations, great engineers, and a product that AI makes dramatically better. You'll work on genuinely cutting-edge problems.
Decisiveness meets rigor
Medical records are critical systems. We move fast but never break things that matter. We look for people who can act decisively in ambiguous situations without sacrificing quality.
Real culture, real fun
Annual company offsites, hackathons, and a hybrid team that knows how to celebrate wins. We work hard and have fun doing it.
Open Positions
